Photo a Day Challenge....Green

Back just in time for my Photo a Day Challenge.  We visited Sunbury Cross where I grew up for part of my pre school years and again in my 20s.  Here is a picture of the clock, with a green top outside the parade of shops.

The clock was originally in the middle of the crossroads of about six roads.  Then in the early 1970s a huge roundabout with the motorway above and subways for pedestrians were built. If I remember the clock was moved twice before its final resting place.

The clock has been around since 1897, erected during Queen Victoria's era, and has kept good time ever since.
