Well the past week I have seen some signs, very very ordinary ones - I wanted to do something different and although I did not take this photo (impossible), I think it might be apt for my Challenge - A Sign!
"A Sign" that old age is creeping up on you faster than you think, when you look at your old photographs - yes this is me when I was two years old.....arn't I cute?
I was Flower Girl for my Aunt's wedding - over 60 years ago! A sign that we are all getting older - she is 81 this year.
Anyway here I am in my lovely pink taffeta frock (those marks are age marks on the photo - not me rolling around the dirt!). I think my Mum made the dress. Over the top of the taffeta was a pink netting. Cute puff sleeves.
Money was tight in those days, so my little gloves were cut down womens gloves.
The headdress is made of small crepe paper rose buds sewn into taffeta and net with a string of elastic to hold it onto the head.
I still have the head dress and gloves tucked away in a box, together with the silver bracelet given to me for being a Flower Girl. Never knew what happened to the dress. I remember it hanging in a wardrobe in the 1960s, but lost track after that.

Well, well, Crys! You were a bridesmaid at the same age (and in probably the same year as me)- the headdress and the the dress itself look frighteninly familiar too..... and you? My dear, I would recognise you anywhere!! I knew it was you straight away!
