Trip to Australia - Meeting distant relatives

Tuesday 12th November

Very hot in the night, I was thankful for a thin duvet and another comfortable bed.  Spent today just catching up.  I have no idea how it came about, but early that morning out came the Rummikub board game, and that was it! 

This is a very addictive game, and since I had no practice at all, I wasn't doing that well with it.  The determination to beat my cousin meant that we were playing for most of the day. To think I travelled all those miles just to waste a day playing Rummikub!!! 

You will see later in the holiday that it wasn't really a waste of time.....especially since I was only a novice.

After a light lunch we played some more, and then thought it might be a good idea to go out for a walk to get the circulation moving again.  The walk took me around the block - not sure how I got there as there were a few turns here and there.

It certainly was a lovely area.  I remember a few years ago now that my cousin had emailed me photos of the place she was to build her new home and there was nothing around, now there are lots of new homes. 

A week has already passed.  I was to return to Brisbane this evening, but thought it would be better to catch the train the following morning when it was daylight.
