Monday, 2nd December
Today we just relaxed - visited the shops and bought a mud cake to have with a coffee - went for a walk in the park (I forgot my camera!). In the evening we went out for a meal - the last supper - before I departed the next day.
The man of the house had ribs....apparently you get a bib with this dish
My friend had fish and chips
I had vegetable lasagne!
All large helpings......and we still had a huge icecream sundae each afterwards.
And then it was all finished and cleared away!
We should really have walked a mile after that, but we didn't!!
Tuesday 3rd December
The holiday has come to an end. I need to be at the airport early, so just enough time to visit the local supermarket - for a brisk walk. It wasn't really necessary as we decided to walk to the train station anyway - 2 miles. It was a very pleasant walk and since I only had light luggage on wheels it wasn't too much of a problem.
A quick snack at the airport before saying goodbye, and boarding the plane.
A long long journey home - leaving Sydney with temperatures in the 20s and arriving in London with 4 degrees......cold....very cold.
I am now planning my next trip - when? I do not know yet and it might never happen. Next time I want to do more sightseering - fly to Perth, take the train across the Nullaboor plain to Sydney, fly to Cairns and travel (slowly) down the East Coast to Melbourne. Take in a few more sights.......

All good things come to an end sadly. I'm pleased you had a good time :)
ReplyDeleteYes they do Jane, and I still have itchy feet. Already want to go again.
DeleteGlad you enjoyed it all - and perhaps you should start planning and saving right now whilst you are still in the mood for big travelling!
ReplyDeleteI did enjoy it Susan, and yes already saving for the next trip
