A project yet to be started.....and finished!

I posted yesterday a piece of my memorabilia where someone had made a comment about displaying these little beauties rather than packing them away in a drawer.  She suggested a "box" frame, well I am thinking she means one of these.

Isn't it great - needs some attention to the frame, which is an old Victorian picture frame, and another coat of paint to the shelves.  This is still in the shed and is destined to come out anyway, because in our new bathroom  where we are having a shower, to get the pipework to the shower without removing the new tiles is not going to be easy.

So we decided to put the pipework through the wall  in the corner of the bathroom into the what will be the living room and run the pipes along and up that wall  to the shower and because the door frame to this room is so close to the corner of the room, we are going to have a dummy wall to cover the pipes that will look like a miniature chimney breast. 

The idea is that this frame is going to be inserted into the dummy wall and be a feature in the room. This project has not started yet, and we are little slow in this household so you have to be patient.

 Although it is an excellent idea to display my "Surfies" I don't think they will match the decor I have in mind for the living room.  I have other memorabilia that will look great displayed here.  But first, I need to do some work on this shelf. 

Although the "Surfies" have "lost" their new home, it has given me something to think about and just maybe when the bathroom is finished, I will find a place to display them in there, perhaps on a corner shelf - which reminds me I have one of those too....a wooden one half painted..........
